The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point created for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance products read more and services,” the agency said.
